Body hair is normal
Body hair is normal, but excess can be infuriating, embarrassing. Shaving is a simple process, but the hair proliferates. Waxing and sugaring is long-lasting but comes with a price of pain and sometimes skin reactions. More women are embracing laser hair removal as an alternative as it is durable and painless. It is more of a laser reduction then hair removal because complete eradication of hair is still challenging. After four to five sittings, the strands become more delicate and thinner, making it more challenging to obliterate it. But having said that laser hair removal is most effective and lasting, even if it is a tad expensive and time consuming.
Laser hair removal emits light of a specific wavelength which is absorbed by the hair melanin. Melanin is a natural pigment which determines the skin and hair color. With depilation of hair melanin, it turns white or grey. The type and amount of this pigment determine the color of hair. There are two nature of melanin; eumelanin (gives dark color), and pheomelain (for light tones). The large amount of eumelanin cause black hair, moderate amount result in brown, very petite amount of eumelanin suffix blond hair. A mixture of brown eumelanin and pheomelain provides strawberry blond hair, and the fusion of predominant pheomelain and small quantities of eumelanin produce red hair.
The emitted laser converters into heat that permanently damages and destroys hair follicles. This may not wholly restrict hair growth, but the regrowth hair is much finer and thinner.IPL or intense pulse light emits less severe and dispersed energy which is gentle on the skin but effective in hair melanin. Side effects of this modern technology are minimal, but on rare cases, a burn can happen. After laser hair removal, apply moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and glowing.
